You do not need a special Proxy-Cheap application. You can use any browser extension, operating-system setting, command-line client, or application that supports the protocol and authentication method shown for your proxy.
Common options
- Proxy-Cheap Proxy Manager for Chrome and other supported Chromium-based browsers.
- FoxyProxy Standard for Firefox.
- Windows or macOS system proxy settings for applications that use the operating system's HTTP/HTTPS proxy configuration.
- Application-specific proxy settings in tools that support HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5.
- cURL for connection testing and troubleshooting.
Not every application supports every protocol or authentication method. Before purchasing or configuring a proxy, confirm that the application supports the protocol shown in your Proxy-Cheap dashboard and can accept either username/password or IP whitelist authentication as required.
If an application does not use the operating system proxy settings, configure the proxy directly inside that application.
