Setting up a VPN client on mac OS is easy and requires few steps.
- First, login or register on out platform.
- On the left side menu, choose the "VPNs" under the"My Services".
- On the right side, click "Order new VPN"
- Choose "VPN"
- Choose period for your VPN service. You still will be able to extend it, but choosing longer period gives you a discounted price.
- After purchasing a VPN, go to the details page of the VPN.
- Choose server (which indicates the location of the VPN) under the "OpenVPN Configuration" and click "Download"
- Please note, that you can choose port yourself or leave the default one which is preselected.
- Go to the official OpenVPN client page for mac OS https://openvpn.net/client-connect-vpn-for-mac-os/
- Install and launch the OpenVPN application
- In the application screen, choose "FILE" in the upper tab, you should see this screen:
- Select the downloaded file.
- The the following window, set your username from the step 6. For convenience you can also choose "Save password" and set your password so that you wouldn't need to enter it each time you connect yo the VPN.
- Click "Connect"
- If a dialog pops up "Missing external certificate", click "Continue". Congratulations! Now you should be connected to the secure VPN tunnel to your chosen location.
To verify, that you are connected to the VPN server, you can visit the page ifconfig.com to see all the details.
