How to connect to proxy on MacOS?

Modified on Wed, 27 Mar at 10:00 AM

With these simple steps you will be able to connect to your proxy directly on MacOS settings without any worries!

1. Open up your system settings, search for proxies and open it up.

2. You will be redirected to setup over your currently connected wifi network instantly.

Select and trigger either HTTP or SOCKS5 setting, depending on your proxy protocol.

3. Copy-paste the purchased proxy credentials, the IP:PORT and username with password into corresponding fields. Choose to enable authentication only if your proxy has username and password authentication.

IP whitelist users can skip the authentication part.

Press OK to save settings.

4. Turn off wifi for few seconds and turn it on. You are good to go! In case username / password authentication does not work out with proxy - we suggest changing authentication method to IP whitelist for more simplified usage.
