Self-service replacement is available only when Proxy-Cheap has enabled it for an affected static IPv4 range. Self-service replacement is not available on demand. Proxy-Cheap may enable replacement for affected proxies when needed. When it is enabled for your proxies, a Review & Replace Proxies banner appears in your dashboard.
How to replace affected proxies
- Log in to your Proxy-Cheap dashboard and look for the Review & Replace Proxies banner.
- Click the banner to open the replacement page.
- For each affected proxy, select a country from the available options and, for Static Residential proxies, an ISP. Available countries and ISPs depend on current inventory.
- Review your selections and click Replace Proxies to confirm.
- After the success message appears, find your replacement proxies in the dashboard and update the proxy details in any applications that used the old proxies.
For questions about replacement terms or your proxy expiry date, contact Support before proceeding.
Replacement limits
- The ISP of an existing Static Residential proxy cannot be changed in place. Choosing an ISP in the enabled replacement flow means selecting a replacement proxy.
- IPv6 packages cannot be replaced.
- If the banner is not displayed, contact Support with the proxy ID and the reason for your request. Support will review the request; replacement is not guaranteed.
- If you are experiencing access or performance issues, contact Support so the team can review your specific case.
Video walkthrough
The video below demonstrates the replacement flow after it has been enabled for affected proxies. It does not mean that self-service replacement is always available. Read the conditions above before following the video.
