Eligible proxy products can be upgraded to a higher maximum connection speed directly from the Proxy-Cheap dashboard.
An upgrade increases the maximum speed supported by the proxy. It does not guarantee that every connection will consistently reach that speed. Actual speed and latency can be affected by:
- The speed and stability of your internet connection.
- Firewalls, security software, browser or application limitations, and restrictions imposed by the destination website.
- The physical distance between you and the proxy location. Greater distances generally result in higher latency.
Rotating Residential Proxies
Self-managed Rotating Residential Proxies have a speed limit of 100 Mbps and a limit of 100 concurrent connections.
There is no Upgrade option for this proxy type, and there are no plans to increase these limits at the moment. Rotating Residential exit nodes can vary in capacity, so higher speed and connection limits are not currently available.
How to upgrade your proxy speed
For eligible proxy products:
- Open Overview or My Proxies in your Proxy-Cheap dashboard.
- Select the proxy you want to upgrade.
- Scroll down to the Bandwidth section and click Upgrade next to Speed.
- Select one of the available speed options.
- Review the additional recurring fee and confirm the upgrade.
If the Upgrade button or a particular speed option is not displayed, that upgrade is not currently available for your proxy.
The additional fee is shown before you confirm the upgrade and is added to your recurring proxy cost.
If you are unsure whether your proxy is eligible, contact our Support team. Support cannot increase the fixed limits for Rotating Residential Proxies.
