IP Whitelist Authentication is a security method where a list of pre-approved IP addresses is used to grant access to a system or application, automatically authenticating and allowing connections from only these trusted sources while blocking all others.

Important
- IP whitelisting is not available for residential rotating proxies & mobile rotating proxies.
Setup steps
IP whitelisting authorizes the public IP of the device or network connecting to your proxy. Use your internet connection’s public IP—not the proxy IP and not a local address such as 192.168.x.x.
- Open the proxy in your Proxy-Cheap dashboard and check its available authentication options.
- If IP whitelist is supported, select it and enter the public IP that will connect to the proxy.
- Save the change, then configure the proxy address and port in your app.
- Test from the same network and check the resulting public IP.
If your network’s public IP changes, update the whitelist. Follow any change-limit countdown shown in the dashboard. Rotating Residential and Rotating Mobile do not support this method.
