How to change proxy protocol?

You can switch between HTTP and SOCKS5 for eligible proxies by following these steps:

1. Log in to your Proxy-Cheap dashboard, open My Proxies, and select the proxy you want to update.

2. In the Proxy Overview, find Protocol and click Change.

3. Select HTTP or SOCKS5, then confirm the change.

Important:

  • Protocol switching is available only for Static Residential and Datacenter IPv4 proxies. The protocol can be changed once per month for each proxy.
