How to enable HTTPS proxy in Mac?

Modified on Mon, 13 May at 9:41 AM

1. Download and open the certificate file provided by the customer care support on your device. The certificate should appear under the System Keychain. If it's not immediately visible, search for 'Proxy Cheap'.

2. Double-click the certificate to display its details and then expand the 'Trust' section. Then From the 'When using this certificate' dropdown, select 'Always Trust'. Save the settings and you will be prompted to enter your password to update the system keychain.

3.  The certificate has been installed now. Next step is to open your Wi-Fi settings in the device and go to "proxies".
Under the "Secure web proxy (HTTPS)" turn it on and enter the proxy details ( server, port, username, password ).

Expect an additional prompt from Apple settings requesting proxy credentials extracted from your Dashboard..
Submit your credentials, click "OK," disable your Wi-Fi, wait for approximately a minute, then re-enable it to start browsing using the proxy seamlessly!
