How to enable HTTPS proxy in Windows?

Modified on Mon, 13 May at 9:43 AM

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. Type certmgr.msc into the Run dialog and press Enter. This will open the Certificate Manager, where you can manage various types of certificates on your system.
2. Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities," then in the menu bar, choose "Actions," followed by "All Tasks," and then "Import."

3. Follow the wizard to import the ProxyCheapCA.crt file.
4. After the wizard completes, the certificate should be successfully installed.
5.To utilize an HTTPS proxy, ensure your setup supports PAC (Proxy Auto-Configuration) files. Each HTTPS proxy can automatically generate a PAC file, accessible at https://<proxy-ip>:<proxy-port>/proxy.pac (e.g., https://206.206.70.27:43671/proxy.pac). Once configured, your proxy should work seamlessly.
