Setup steps
This method configures an HTTP proxy for one Android Wi-Fi network. It does not configure cellular data, and some apps may ignore the Wi-Fi proxy setting.
- Connect to the Wi-Fi network and whitelist its current public IP for a proxy that supports IP-whitelist authentication.
- Open the network’s settings, edit the connection, and find the advanced proxy options.
- Select Manual and enter the proxy hostname or IP address and port from your Proxy-Cheap dashboard.
- Save, stay connected to that Wi-Fi network, and test in a browser using an IP-check website.
Use an app that supports authenticated proxies if your product requires a username and password. To undo this setup, set the Wi-Fi proxy option back to None.
Important:
- The layout or the sequence of procedures may vary from device to device. Please refer to your manufacturer's site for more detailed information.
- Note that this method will work only with the IP whitelist method.
- Please make sure that you have set your proxy authentication method to IP whitelist.
- This will not work with rotating residential proxies as they require a username and password authentication.
