This guide configures an HTTP proxy for your selected Wi-Fi network. It does not configure a SOCKS5 proxy or apply to cellular data, and some apps may ignore this setting. Use the authentication method supported by your Proxy-Cheap proxy. Keep cellular data turned off during setup and testing to prevent switching away from Wi-Fi. Menu labels may vary by iOS version.
Open Settings → Wi-Fi and tap the ⓘ button beside the Wi-Fi network you are connected to.
2. Scroll to HTTP Proxy, tap Configure Proxy, and select Manual.
3. Enter your proxy IP or hostname in Server and your proxy port in Port. If your proxy uses username/password authentication, turn on Authentication and enter your proxy username and password from the Proxy-Cheap dashboard. Tap Save.
Note: For IP-whitelist authentication, leave Authentication turned off and make sure your Wi-Fi connection’s current public IP is whitelisted in your Proxy-Cheap dashboard.
4. If iOS displays an additional proxy authentication prompt, enter the same proxy username and password from your Proxy-Cheap dashboard.
5. Tap OK if prompted. Stay connected to the configured Wi-Fi network and open your browser. A Wi-Fi restart is not normally required.
6. Open an IP-check website and confirm that it displays the proxy IP or proxy exit IP.
