Follow the steps below to configure a Proxy-Cheap HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy on Android using the Super Proxy app.
Important Notes
- Super Proxy uses Android's VPN framework to route traffic through the proxy.
- Accept the Android VPN connection request if prompted.
- The selected protocol must match your proxy.
- Enter only the raw proxy host or IP in the Server field, without
http://orhttps://.
Setup Steps
Step 1: Open Super Proxy
Install and open the Super Proxy app on your Android device.
Step 2: Add a proxy
Tap Add proxy to open the proxy profile form.
Step 3: Enter a profile name
Enter any name you want to use for this connection, such as Proxy-Cheap or Work Proxy.
Step 4: Select the protocol
Under Protocol, select HTTP or SOCKS5, depending on your proxy.
Step 5: Enter the server and port
- Server — your proxy IP or hostname
- Port — your proxy port
Step 6: Select the authentication method
Choose Username/Password if your proxy uses credentials. For IP-whitelist authentication, choose None and make sure your current public IP is whitelisted in your Proxy-Cheap dashboard.
If you select Username/Password, enter your proxy username and password.
Step 7: Leave DNS resolution as Proxy
Leave the DNS resolution setting set to Proxy.
Step 8: Save the proxy profile
Tap the save icon in the top-right corner to save the proxy profile.
Step 9: Start the proxy connection
Start the saved connection in Super Proxy.
Step 10: Allow the Android VPN connection
If Android displays a VPN connection request, accept it to allow Super Proxy to connect.
